But I also think it is important that we keep in mind how unlikely some of these truly horrific scenarios are. The training was excellent in broadening our perspective – on likeliness of having an active killer situation, how to remain calm and decisive in numerous situations (using a well-designed framework) and provided many practical exercises (not often held in numerous “training” seminars).

There was the perfect amount of instructional time and hands-on exercises. What exceeded my expectations in the course was the time spent actually disarming and combating an active shooter as well as that we did hands-on exercises to attend to those who are in need of immediate medical help.
